Collaboration with
Mathias Schweizer

This series of four posters is a collaborative exercise between designers Roosje Klap and Mathias Schweizer. The two designers started out with a mutual intrigue for each other’s work, which resulted in this dedicated series of “graphic sex”, creating speculative dedicated places for making love.

The design all carry literary references in them, such as the Ars Amatoria and Remedia Amoris by Ovidius (2 AD), the ancient Hindu text Kama Sutra and Verrier Elwin’s tribal observations on The Baiga (1939). Other than that, this series pays homage to the Italian futurist group Archizoom, who created speculative bedrooms at the end of the 60s.

Klap and Schweizer consider their posters to be a celebration of the love for graphic design.
